In this session there will be a review on one of the first books of Dostoyevsky (Poor Folk). This book is a poignant societal and physiological sketch written by young writer. It is written in the form of letters of correspondence between two characters both trapped within the poverty and circumstances of ST.Petersburgs slums. Makar and Varvara , two young lovers , too poor to marry , struggle with poverty all the times. This book demonstrates the beautiful and tragic face of 19 century Russian society.

It is not my favourite from the master, but it is a glimpse into what he would become, not quite as a man, but as a literary giant.
