Biological evolutionary process, as conceived of by Charles Darwin, is considered a global process, which affects all living things on this planet including humans. The end state of the evolutionary process for the human brain is a mysterious and complex collection of cognitive capacities. Language, which is thought to be uniquely human capacity, will be discussed in brief and some evidence regarding its evolutionary basis will be presented.
